The change in seasons, hot hair tools, or misuse of a product, are only some of the culprits that can also cause these changes. It can be a pain to find products that help keep our hair moisturized. Luckily, you don’t have to spend so much money when everything you need is in your kitchen pantry for everyday ingredients that you can whip into a DIY hair mask to get your hair back to its healthy stage. Avocado’s healthy fats aren’t only good for you to eat, there are benefits for your hair too! This mask is great for dry, damaged, and brittle. The fats and nutrients found in avocados can help strengthen and nourish your strands, boost shine, and stimulate hair growth.
Egg yolk is rich in vitamins that may make hair more resistant to damage. The yolk may be especially useful to moisturize hair that appears dry. Vitamins A and E, biotin, and folate are just some of the nutrients found in eggs that are said to help keep hair thick and healthy.
2. Aloe Vera Mask & Leave-in Conditioner.
Aloe Vera is one of my favorite DIYs! there are so many benefits when using aloe vera, you can use it for your face as a toner and also for your hair. It’s full of vitamin A, C, and E; minerals; and water (hello, hydration). Of course, you will be using it for your hair that’s what this blog is for duh!
You’ll want to apply this deep treatment prior to shampooing your hair. Because you want this to sit in your hair for at least 30 minutes, you don’t want to try this when you’re running short on time. This deep treatment is one of those treatments that should if you are at home and you’re not going anywhere. be done while you are doing house chores or watching a movie to waste time. Below I have listed my favorite ingredients on how I make my Aloe Vera hair mask and leave-in conditioner.
3. Applying a coconut oil mask
Coconut oil has become well known for its many health-promoting benefits, coconut oil is made by pressing fresh coconut meat or dried coconut meat called copra. There are different types of coconut oil, virgin coconut oil and refined coconut oil. For awhile I didn’t understand the two but the more I started studying about coconut oil I learned that virgin coconut oil uses fresh meat, while refined coconut oil typically uses copra. Unlike olive oil, the terms “virgin” and “extra virgin” are not regulated with coconut oil.
Even though the chemical structure might be weird and different, coconut oil may also benefit your hair. One of the best ways to nourish your hair with coconut oil is by using a hair mask.Coconut oil stimulates hair growth it gets deep into the hair follicles.
As a hair mask ingredients:
2 Tablespoon Coconut Oil
2 Tablespoon Honey
1 Tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
Instructions:
Melt honey and coconut oil together on the stove until well combined and warm.
Transfer to a bowl and stir in apple cider vinegar.
Clip hair and apply the mask in sections using a brush.
Pull hair into a loose bun and let sit for 20 minutes.
Wash with normal shampoo and warm water.
Rub coconut oil through your hair and let it sit for a few hours (or even overnight) before washing it out.
