HOW TO COMPLETELY STOP THE ITCH IN WIGS
If you’re like me you probably love a beautiful lace frontal wig whether it’s human or synthetic as long as it looks good that is all that matters! but the itching! Girl the itching! makes you not want to NOT keep the wig on your head for too long… Once you have worn it for so long go home and take it off…FEELS GOOD!
I used to think my itching and irritation were because of my scalp. Maybe I didn’t wash my hair properly. Then I learned that it wasn’t my hair! It was the WIG! GIRL YESSS THE WIG! How can something you love turn against you just like that? Well, it happens to some of us and it’s not okay because we spend all that money just to itch our well-earned money that is now placed on our heads! GIRL … NOT IN 2021!
Here’s something that has been working for me and I’m sure might help to solve your problem. Lately, I have been applying Apple Cider Vinegar with the mother on my braiding hair and wig before applying it from my head.
What does AVC (Apple cider vinegar) do to your wigs?
The acidity in vinegar helps to break down dirt from styling products in the wig. It also lifts the alkaline base from the hair. Once dry, it can be installed without irritating the scalp and hairline. Synthetic lace front wigs have a shine that alerts everyone that it is a wig. This rinse is also a great option for full lace human wigs. Apple cider vinegar will get rid of the shine and itchiness that irritates your skin. You can also do the same application using braiding.
How long do you soak synthetic hair in apple cider vinegar?
The Steps:
Fill a bowl, large enough for your hair, with warm water.
Pour 2 cups of apple cider vinegar into the bowl of water.
Place the wig into the bowl for 1 hour or you can leave it in until the next day.
Remove the hair when you see a white film appear.
Shampoo & condition your hair with Baby Don’t Be Bald Anti-Itch Shampoo & conditioner after.
Rise out the rest of the product in the water until the water is clear.
let it dry and you are out the door!!
I have also included a tutorial demonstrating how I use this on my hair as well.
Say goodbye to itchy wigs or braiding hair!
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident, and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
